Q. What are the nursery opening hours?
A. The nursery is open Monday to Friday from 8 am til 6 pm. The nursery has a breakfast club that starts from 7.30 am for those parents that need an earlier start time, breakfast sessions are available to both term time and full time children at the cost £4.60
Q. How many weeks of the year is the nursery open?
A. The nursery is open 51 weeks a year, closing for one week between the Christmas and New Year period.
Q. Is the nursery open on Bank Holidays?
A. The nursery is closed for all Bank Holidays.
Q. Can my child attend the nursery on a term time only basis as I don’t require a all year round place?
A. The nursery do offer term time only places to children in our over two’s room. Unfortunately, term time only is not available in our under two’s room.
Q. What age does the nursery take children from?
A. The nursery can offer places to children from birth to school starting age.
Q. Can the nursery support a child with additional needs?
A. Alverbridge Nursery is a fully inclusive setting. We are more than happy to discuss your child’s individual needs with you on a personal level.
Q. Can my child play outside whilst they are at nursery?
A. Alverbridge nursery values the importance of outdoor play. The children can freely access the garden throughout the day, with exception of meal times and key person times.
Q. What is the cost of a session at the nursery?
A. Our current fees are £5.76 per hour. For example if a child attends from 8 am to 6 pm then the daily charge would be £57.60. All fees are payable in advance.
Q. Does the nursery provide meals for the children?
A. The nursery provides a hot meal at lunchtime. This is supplied by an outside catering company called Hungry Monsters. Details of their menu can be found here. Alternatively parents of children in the over two’s room can provide a packed lunch for their child. The nursery also provides afternoon tea to any child staying at the nursery beyond 4 pm. There is a cost of £2.90 per day for the lunchtime meal provided by Hungry Monsters and a cost of £1.75 for the afternoon tea.
Q. Can your nursery meet my child’s special dietary needs?
A. Hungry Monsters can meet all special dietary needs. The nursery informs them of any child with dietary needs and personalised meals are then supplied for the child. At teatime the nursery are happy to supply food that meets your child’s dietary requirements.
Q. Do I need to pay a fee to register my child at the nursery?
A. The nursery do not charge a fee to register your child.
Q. Does the nursery provide nappies and wipes for my child?
A. If your child attends the nursery 51 weeks a year then nappies and wipes are provided free of charge. If your child is term time only then we kindly ask parents to supply their own nappies and wipes.
Q. Does the nursery have an onsite car park for parents to use?
A. The nursery has a designated staff car park to the rear of the building. Unfortunately this car park is for staff only, however there is plenty of parking in the vicinity of the nursery.
